Saturday, November 29th was damp and gloomy, but here in the Pacific Northwest, we know if we wait for a nice, sunny day, we might be in the apartment all winter. So off we went. We meandered around Everett, Arlington and Mount Vernon, north of Seattle. Here are some of the sights of the day.

The sign tells it like it is.

We had a Mexican standoff with a goat in the road for a while.

Near Ebey Island and Everett we spotted a treed heron.

Try as we might, we couldn't spot any fish crossing the road near this sign. That would have been a bonus!

On the other side of the road, were some metal sculptures.

There were several in the field - all different.
