P A N O R A M A S

There is so much beauty in the state of Washington that single pictures really don't give you an idea of the range and scope of the mountains and valleys. Trying to demonstrate the above was becoming an exercise in frustration for me. A videocam would probably do the best job, but we don't own one. I'd been trying without much success to make my own panoramas by stitching three or four pictures together but I had been very displeased with the results.

Last weekend Tim introduced me to a marvellous little program called The Panorama Factory. I find the products are quite remarkable. It's very user-friendly, so it gets the Ang Seal Of Approval. I've made the following without the use of a tripod. I held the camera up to my eye, clicked, moved it a bit, clicked and so on. I'm quite pleased with most of the results.
