April Snow At Mount Shuksan

On Saturday, April 20th, we took a ride up near Mount Baker and Mount Shuksan. There's still a lot of snow there, so we weren't able to go all the way to Artist Point. Picture Lake was covered with snow and ice, and pretty well invisible behind the very tall snowbanks which lined the road. We enjoyed a picnic lunch between the Nooksack mountain range and Mount Shuksan. It was warm enough to sit there without our jackets on, and the sun came out while we were eating. Very pretty.
