Time for another road trip, this time east along Highway 2, "arguably the most scenic mountain highway in the state" towards Stevens Pass, one of the few routes across the Cascades, to Eastern Washington. We tried once before (see the Washington Serpentarium trip) but low hanging clouds, mist and fog obscured our view of this area. You can read about the road to Stevens Pass HERE.

Today, the weather was beautiful, and we were rewarded once again with some spectacular sights. Along with the awesome mountains, we explored a lovely little spot beside the road called Deception Falls. Please click on a thumbnail to see an enlargement.
