My main dish was Seafood Saute - salmon, halibut, scallops and very large shrimps served in a crab butter sauce along with sauteed veggies and garlic mashed potatoes.

It was fabulous.

We managed to find room for dessert.

Here, Tim digs into his Chocolate Thunder cake. Serious work, eating chocolate, isn't it? He said it was most excellent.

I didn't think I had room for any afters, however I managed to force down this wonderful "Burnt Cream" as it's called here.

I tried not to think about the calories I'd ingested tonight. The food was great and so was the service.

Afterwards, we were asked to fill out questionaires. We independently gave quite glowing reports. About the only thing I mentioned on the minus side is that the noise level was rather high. And Tim said that the bus boy uniforms reminded him of jail guards.

I'm not too sure how he knows that - hmmmm. ;-)

In the lobby is an artist's rendition of the Rogue Wave which smashed the original Ivar's.

There were many interesting framed newspaper items on the walls, dating from years ago to the present.

Also on the wall is a Rogue Wave Monitor, guarding against a repeat performance, I suppose. :)

Interesting nautical items were everywhere, but the restaurant was so busy that I was afraid I'd be in the way, standing and looking at everything. . I'll look forward to them next time.

And as we left, we watched one of the Whidbey Island ferries docking near the restaurant.

'Twas a pretty sight with which to end a very enjoyable evening.

Thanks, Ivar's :D
