On a gorgeous Saturday we headed Northeast to check in on the North Cascades Highway. It was lovely to revisit some of our favorite places.

A baby deer paused along the side of Highway 20 to greet us.

Tim's pretty happy to be up in his mountains again.

I don't think I'll ever tire of driving along roads like this one.

The usually green water of Diablo Lake is sometimes blue at this time of year.

There was a lot less snow and ice than there usually is.

Here's our lunch spot.

We passed many small waterfalls along the way.

A glossy raven ignored our offers of nuts.

And on the way back I saw my first Skunk Cabbage of 2010.
