couple of Red ruffed Lemurs were dining al fresco.
"Red
ruffed lemurs lack extensive digit coordination, so they groom
themselves and each other with their teeth. Six bottom teeth form
what is called the toothcomb."

live in social groups consisting of two to 16 animals.

stay within a common home range, aggressively defending it from
other groups of red ruffed lemurs.

the dominant individuals, females form the core of the group,

I'm
always amazed by the beautiful coloring of the Guenons. They look
like little old men.
Rather
than leaping from tree to tree, these guys positively hurl themselves
into the air. They are much fun to watch.

mass of necks and legs, two red-crowned cranes forage in the grass.

red-crowned crane is an important symbol to the people of Japan

is the leader of Gorilla Group 1.

in case you are wondering, the orangutan area was just too crowded
for me to try to take pics today, but I did say hi to Melati and
was pleased to see that she hasn't forgotten me :D)
