A Painted Turtle (?) was enjoying the sunshine and solitude on a log in the lake.

Near the shore was another log just loaded with turtles! Sadly, I was unable to get a picture of them (except for this one) without wading in to my waist.

Somebody was taking a dip today too.

Sharon spied this dear little baby rabbit huddled in the bush at the side of the path. He didn't move until a dog came along.
We saw quite a few rabbits today. This pair sat quietly watching the passing parade.
One of the many benches which rim Green Lake was cradled by a beautiful wild rose bush. It smelled heavenly!
Lovely wild irises grew in clumps beside the lake.

A few gorgeous yellow irises which ring the lake were in bloom as well.

Sharon and I made it all the way around the lake, so we celebrated with a stop at the Chocolati Cafe :) It was a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
