Other fungi were large and multi-colored.

Is Tim having fun or what?

The path continued through a stand of tall, straight trees.

We crossed a bridge and wound our way around some fall-downs.

Ooooh, beautiful, tiny Yellow Wood Violets suddenly appeared beside the path.

So did Trilliums which had bloomed and gone at other elevations.

The end of the trail was in sight.

Time to turn around and head back.

I made use of one of the benches placed here and there along the way.

The forget-me-nots we saw on the way home will encourage me to remember this nice day.
