And oh, the Koi were wonderful! The water simply boiled with them.
 
 
Most were large and beautifully colored.


Sometimes they went after the same morsel of food.
 

Others swam lazily in the sunshine.

 
They kept a sharp look-out for something to eat.


'I'm HUN-gry!'
 
 
Rafts of lily pads floated on the pond too, dotted with gorgeous water lilies.

 
There were several different colors.

 
A few irises still waved their pretty heads.

 
Tim checks out one of the sculptures dotted around the gardens.
It was a serene and enjoyable visit.
