Although the heat wave is over, it must still be pretty uncomfortable for those with permanent fur coats. One of the orangutans was pressed against the glass, trying to get some shade from the ever-present burlap sack.
Chinta curled up in a hammock amidst the leaves.
And Melati stayed inside. She looked at me a few times as if to say "Hi, I see you but I'm too hot to climb down and come over to the window.".
This picture cracks me up! Doesn't it look as if the Macaque on the right is sniffing the air? "Did you eat broccoli for breakfast?" |
|||
The Colobus monkeys were flopped out in their enclosure. What a tail!
One little lemur dines alone. His pals were nowhere to be seen. |
|||
Talk about camouflage, I looked and looked for the lions until I finally saw The King in the long grass.
Cat lovers will appreciate this one. The Jaguar must feel really secure to lie flopped out like that. I'm not sure I'd scratch his belly though.
Mama Gorilla and her baby hunkered down in the shade too. Nobody was moving much.
I watched one of the giraffes for quite a while. He was eating twigs. Suddenly, he started sneezing, and then umm, wiped his nose with his tongue.
I liked this picture of a Zebra and a Gazelle eating in harmony.
My little pal, the Red Panda was in the same spot as last week. He looked pretty groggy too.
