Little families of cacti snuggled everywhere.

Some made me want to stroke them, like a cat. But I didn't.

Others looked like strange, alien vegetables.

There were so many different varieties and they were all lovely.

The Cactus Room was very popular (and crowded).

I spied a bunch of bananas growing in another room.

And oh, the beautiful Angel's Trumpet flowers - they were amazing. Apparently they are 'particularly aromatic' at dusk, presenting their flowers to bats and moths for pollination purposes.

There was also a display of Carnivorous Plants. These are Cobra Lilies.

And this one's a type of a PItcher Plant. Insects fall in, attracted by the nectar and drown.

Here's a different variety of Pitcher Plant.

Everywhere we looked, there were interesting shapes and colors.

This included flowers outside in the beautifully-kept flower beds, like these fuchsia.

Volunteer Park was a lovely surprise for me. I had no idea it was such an interesting place, and I hope to return and check out the Art Museum soon.
