Chinta has just seen
Towan approaching and has put her head down, trying to look disinterested
in everything. Still no food has been found. |
|
Towan, however, has
found a leafy treat under a bush, and is eating it very surreptitiously
behind an old log. |
|
The Sun Bears were
also foraging for their food. Here, one finds a hollow log filled with
honey and has a wonderful time trying to extract it. |
|
One of the Brown
Bears put on a great show in the water pool today. Most of my pictures
had reflections of the spectators, drat it, many of whom were yapping
on cell phones, not even looking at the bears. Hmpppffff. |
|
After its swim, the
bear headed outside to the sunshine to dry off and warm up. His pal went
with him. They move very quickly for such large animals. |
|
A pair of Siamangs
take a break during their daily concert. Oh my gosh, they are loud. No
wonder I can hear them at our house when the wind is right. |
|
And lastly, here's
the little Arctic Fox again, looking even worse for wear than last week.
I am going to ask one of the keepers if the fox is not well. Those front
legs look very bare, and I would think that this is the time of year
when animals usually begin to put on weight and their fur thickens.
With that, I decided
to head for home. Hopefully the next time I come here, the crowds will
have thinned somewhat, and with the approach of Fall, some of the trees
will be a lot barer, making it much easier to take pics. So it goes.
