I decided to walk a little way around the Lake.
   
The view was pretty but the trail was in really bad shape so I didn't go too far.
 

Nearby, a break in the mist revealed new snow on the nearby peaks.

   
And down the hill we went. The road was lined with color.
 

The Miller River was amazing. We lunched beside it.

   

I think many of the yellow trees are Larches.

The color was truly beautiful.
  
On the way home we caught a glimpse of some of the nearby mountains.
 
Folks were kayaking below this bridge near the town of Index.

What a pretty day it was.
