Oh
what fun to have a beachfront house like this one. The colorful
objects on the front of the balcony are fishing floats. |
|
A
little further down the road was this home, complete with lighthouse
and gazebo on stilts.
|
|
This
looked like three separate houses, but when we got closer, we could
see that they were all joined together by little walkways and bridges.
There were also some huge mansions near the beach. |
|
And everywhere,
were signs like this, and Tsunami Warning signs. |
|
Speaking
of signs, I couldn't resist this one on the way home. Dontcha love
the name? :D There's also a town of Humptulips, and Humptulips Dyke
in the area. |
|
Christmas
decorations were everywhere. The inflatable sort seem to be very
popular this year, but I thought this gigantic carved bear adorned
with tiny lights was very apropos for the area. |
|
We sat in
a huge traffic jam near Olympia on the way home, but happily I
was able to take this nice picture of Mount Rainier in the glow
of the setting sun.
It was an
awesome day. I loved it!
