made use of several of the nice little benches along the way.

ate our lunch at a shaded picnic table at the Park. |

lunch we headed for Baker Lake Dam. Here is Sauk Mountain.

Mount
Baker loomed over Burpee Hill Road (love that name!).

Mount Shuksan in the distance. Baker Lake really is *that* blue. |

is the lovely Mount Baker, an active volcano. |

climbers can be seen on its flanks. |
