There were lots of seals around day. They kept well out of our way.

They like it best when the crabbers with their cages of raw chicken bait are on the dock.

A number of graceful Western Grebes enjoyed the sunshine.

More tiny flying clouds of shorebirds - these might be Least Sandpipers.

After a brisk walk we were ready for lunch. Fish and Chips - excellent as usual.

A Columbian White-tailed deer pauses to say hello.

His relatives are too busy chowing down to bother with us.

We had to wait for a ferry on the return trip. This time we rode on the Puyallup.

On the way across I caught a glimpse of Mount Rainier towering over the Seattle landscape.

And in the other direction, Mount Baker caught the last rays of the setting sun.
