'Watch out for the white stuff, guys - it makes your feet as cold as ice.'

'Poor old salmon - but he tastes good anyway.'

'Eeeny-meeny-miney-mo. Which one shall down my gullet go?'

It took this chap ages to drag his lunch from the river to the top of the bank.

'Think he's gonna make it? 'Sure - he's young and full of energy.'

'Well, hello down there. Aren't you a handsome thing?'

Now this chap has decided to try to airlift his lunch to a quieter spot.

'I bet he doesn't make it ten feet!' 'Yeah, he's gonna drop it back in the water, haha!'

'Lots to watch on the riverbank today, eh folks?'

And off the riverbank it was beautiful too.

We headed for the Eagle Trees, further along the road.

The Bald Eagles were just beginning to fly in for their postprandial naps.

With that we ate our lunch in the car near Eagle Park and then meandered home.
We stopped to take pictures of the Twin Sisters near Mount Baker who glistened in the afternoon light.
It was truly a lovely day in every way. We estimate we saw 250-300 Bald Eagles.
How cool is that?
