Lots of gulls were in the area, near the salmon.
Near the Fish Ladder was an underground room where
you could watch the fish through windows.
We saw one of Seattle's Tour Boats heading through the locks.
And another big old rustbucket was waiting to
sail through the BIG lock.
And THIS was a surprise!! All of a sudden we
seemed to be surrounded by Great Blue Herons.
They perched atop a number of the nearby trees.
We counted seven in one tree alone! Amazing!
This little fellow was quite tame too and let me take his picture.
