| Highway 97 ran parallel to the Columbia River and the green area along the edge of the river was in stark contrast to the brown hills behind it. At one stop, a Bald Eagle (right) flew directly over our heads but we did not get a picture of it. Much of the greenery you can see in the pictures is fruit orchards. |  |
