As we crossed Oregon and neared Idaho, we took another break and admired the scenery. There was a small island in the river and we were thrilled to see Great Egrets relaxing there. It was not until we got home and enlarged our pictures that we discovered these were not egrets at all, but beautiful White Pelicans!
