And here it is - Bridal Veil Falls. Undoubtedly it was worth the hike, for it was magnificent. We could hear the thunder of the water from quite a distance.
Ang is getting a drenching here.
Truly, it was a most impressive sight!
Now for some comments on the "easy" trail. Hah! *Snort* Here is one of the more civilized parts of the trail - one of a number of sets of steps. They made it easier, but they were still a tough climb. We estimated we climbed 1,000 feet in 2 1/2 miles.
Path? What path? Huge stones and small boulders covered stretches of the route, and it was not an easy "walk". We were both thankful for our hiking sticks.
Tim navigates a partially rotten bridge across a stream.

And now it's Ang's turn to wobble across - yikes!

A butterfly seemed to be laughing at our struggles, but we made it!

So the tally was this. We hiked a total of 5 miles (or 8 kilometers) over some very rough terrain, ascending 1,000 feet. We thought it was tough going, as it was pretty well all uphill, and we looked forward to the trek back. In reality, that part was much harder on the legs. Still, it was a wonderful day.

And one more thing...
Presented to Tim for hiking most of the way back with a very sore foot without complaint.
Presented to Ang for making it the whole way without whining.
