If you look about halfway up the slope, you will see a line. This is the Ptarmigan Ridge Trail, and we'd hoped to hike a little way along it today. Sadly, the snow was too deep to allow us to find the beginning of the trail, and as it's a very steep ridge, we decided not to take the chance of sliding off :))
