Today was the day I had anticipated with joy and with fear - the return to Neah Bay and Cape Flattery. Cape Flattery is the most northwestern point of the continental United States - a wonderful vantage point from which to observe the Pacific Ocean, the seabirds and a wild and rocky coast. It's located at the end of a very pleasant (but VERY steep) downhill walk, through woods and along a boardwalk. You can imagine what the hike BACK is like.

We also visited Clallam Bay, home of some magnificent tidal pools. For some interesting historical facts about Clallam Bay, please click HERE.

A lot of chainsaw carvings posed nicely for pictures today too <grin>. Click HERE to join us on Day Three of our trip. There are 28 images in this section.
