Here you will find 16 pictures of our trip south, first to the Hoh Rainforest, and then on to Ruby Beach. This was a marvellous day !

The Hoh Rainforest is found south and east of Forks - a wonderful hike into old growth trees, lush vegetation, clinging mosses and views of the turquoise blue glacial waters of the Hoh River. Click HERE to read more about the Hoh Rainforest.

Ruby Beach is my favorite beach on the Washington Coast. Its rocky shore is dotted with seastacks of all shapes and sizes, and the waves crash or curl up to the beach. There are tidal pools here as well, and we always seem to see eagles in the vicinity. To quote the North Olympic Peninsula Visitor And Convention Bureau, "Ruby Beach, with Abbey Island, the distant bluff of Hoh Head and a meandering creek nearby, is a much-photographed spot. The short trail with scenic overlooks allow easy access for most. "
