A Columbia Black-Tailed Deer was grazing peacefully in the meadow behind the Visitors' Center. He was quite unconcerned about the number of visitors who were excited to see him.
I was quite surprised at how close we were able to get before he even looked up from his brunch.
Here's a closeup of some of the peaks we were viewing.
Another pretty sight were bunches of these lovely Avalanche Lilies growing in clumps at the roadside.

Tim took this beautiful picture.

You can't see it here, but I am perched at the top of quite a steep bank, taking these pictures. It was a daring feat for me, the Acrophobic :)

Patches of Spring Gold grew alongside the roadway.
At first I thought these were bluebells, but they're not. Then I thought they were columbines or lupines, but I don't think they are. I don't know what they are.

I'm still checking.
I believe this is Hedge Mustard and Lupine, or some form thereof.
