We noticed a number of these little fellows scurrying around in the meadows and luckily we were able to snap a few pictures of them. We thought at first they were a kind of prairie dog, or gopher. By comparing them to pictures on the web, we decided they were Columbian Ground Squirrels. They sure were cute!
