The city of Seattle sprawls up and down hills. Real estate prices are out of sight, and a small two bedroom house may sell for over $300,000 in the city of Seattle. The streets are charming - blends of old and new houses, generally on smallish lots, with gardens ranging from very manicured and ordered to wild and funky. Lawn sculptures, kites, chainsaw-carved animals, wind-chimes....homes are stamped with owners' personalities, with seldom a hint of "What will the neighbors say?" Originality is applauded.
