Dorothy Thomas' cousin Jean - a cousin on her mother Laura's side.

Dorothy and Jean remained friends for virtually all their lives. There were many years when they didn't see each other, but later in life enjoyed flying "across the pond" for visits.

This photo is entitled "J0an" on the back, although to me she looks exactly like Dorothy.

Jean and Joan were on the Thompson side of the family. The Espeland cousins all seemed to have Norwegian names, like Dagmar, Lisbet and Olga.
