On the opposite corner is this pleasant little park. A year and a half ago, it was a nondescript streetcorner and some street-planning changes enabled the corner to be expanded and rounded. Landscapers planted many beautiful flowers and shrubs and this year, the park has really been beautiful. On a nice day, there is a wonderful view of the Cascade mountains and Green Lake.

The benches are each engraved with part of the following saying:

" The earth and the people in it are my own community, and as long as I live in it, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can."
