Saturday dawned warm and sunny so we headed north to the end of Baker Lake Road for a hike on the Baker Lake Trail.  After the somewhat grueling conditions of the past two weeks' hikes I was hoping this one would be a little bit easier.

It was good to see that the corn was as high as a baby elephant's eye!

Oh!  It looks as if I am running for the State Senate!

All yours, for only $8.000!

We stop at Baker Lake Dam.  Mount Baker is swathed in clouds.

My lovely Mount Shuksan is invisible.

We park at the trailhead near this camping set-up which gets a lot of interest.

And we're off.  Look at that lovely, wide, flat trail!

Ooooooh, lovely big old-growth trees for me to hug!

The trail sides are bordered with moss and tiny, delicate wildflowers.

Rocks, moss and gigantic tree roots - a place to rest.

I manage to move a few trees along the way.
