Saturday
was cool but hey - it wasn't raining so Tim dropped me off
at the Zoo. I expected many animals to stay inside
until the air warmed up a bit. Still, I had some good
looks at those who ventured outside. I was amazed and
pleased to see little Yola, the baby gorilla who was born
nearly a year ago. It was a 'first' for me and that
alone was worth the trip. |

The three tiger boys were out in the sunshine, practicing their
growls.
Hey lady - got any treats for a nice kitty like me?
This is my scary face. Are you scared?
Just kiddin', haha!
The lions were
play-fighting for a while.
Eventually, Adia went
to sleep on the heated rock and Xerxes went in the other direction.
The hippos were chasing each other and play-fighting too.
I've seldom seen them
do anything but sleep.
I have a lot of
respect for someone this big and surprisingly quick as well.
One of the Jaguars did a few laps in the sunshine.
Ahhhhh brunch. Does it get any better than this?
Please sir, is there any more?
