 They nestle in the dying leaves like small jewels.  It doesn't take them long to grow up and out.  They love a bed among the fallen leaves and needles.  There's still a bit of greenery around too.  Some of the mushrooms are very tiny.  Here are two among the raindrops.  Other are very large. This one was 9 inches in diameter.  An overhead view of the first picture.
