I knew it would be crowded at the Zoo today - 'twas another perfect day. I didn't care - I needed my Zoo fix.

As I headed towards my usual route, I saw a huge crowd gathered around the tiger's cage. There I found two little critters having a ball in the sunshine.

Woohoo, the baby tigers were out!!!

The little 'uns (born last September) have been spending a few hours each day outside for the past couple of weeks.

It was easy to see that they loved this new freedom.

They investigated everything that moved, and considering that it was a breezy day, that meant just about everything within sight.

Every so often they would stop to wrestle each other, then they'd carry on with their missions.

The larger cub seemed to be the most venturesome. Here, he is trying to decide how to yank a blackberry bush branch up from the "moat".

I could not get over the size of his paws!

With a sorrowful look, he gives up and moves on to torment his brother once again.
Here's a picture showing the large white spots on the back of his ears. In the darkness, predators may think that they are the eyes of a much larger animal and be frightened off.
I loved the look of utter bliss on the hippo's face as she basked in the sunshine.
