SATURDAY, JANUARY 18, 2014
A gloomy, cold Saturday was brightened by a surprise visit to my favorite place. I didn't expect much because most of the animals don't like the weather any more than I do.

It turned out to be a great day. I reconnected with a (human) friend I'd not seen for a while and we spent loads of time watching the Jaguars, the Lions and the Sloth Bears.

Here are the three young Jaguars - two females (Arizona and Inka) and Kuwan, a male having some fun.

Wakey-wakey. Time to get up and enjoy the day, girl.

Have you seen Kuwan? I bet he's still asleep somewhere!

I think I hear some snoring coming from the south.

Let's go and wake him up.

It's kinda scary up here but I can't see Kuwan anywhere.

Ha-ha, girls! That's because I'm hiding in my secret cave.

Okay, I KNOW I heard him that time. He's somewhere over here.

Look left and right. Look up and down. Be very, very quiet.

Shhhhh, I bet he's over at the water. Let's tippy-toe over there.

Do you see anything?
Nope, not unless you count this pretty girl under the water, teehee.
