Hooray
for sunny Saturdays and road trips. Neither of us is keen
to go to avalanche zones just yet so we settled for Baker
Lake Road and Baker Dam.

There
were still a few Tundra Swans on Cook Road near Burlington.
The
highway through the mountains is always pretty.

highway is lined with trees and sometimes, steep rock walls. |
| It's
always a thrill to catch my first glimpse of Mount Shuksan. |
| And
there's Mount Baker too, trying to hide behind the trees. |
Now
we are at Baker Lake Dam, admiring Mount Baker.

always, Mount Shuksan is beautiful. |

Shuksan has lots of points and pinnacles. |
It's
my favorite mountain.
