Red sky at night - the sailor's delight ? Dare we hope?

Day Three: Redemption

Yessssss! We awoke Sunday morning to the sounds of silence, except for the waves. Hooray!

Boom, boom, pow! The surf was awesome.

Waves crashed and rolled, churning up the sand.

Tim has a good spot, high up on the dunes.

Great blobs of foam decorated the shore.

Eeeek - I almost got drenched by a Killer Wave.

I knew we'd seen this car last year, so I asked the hotel clerk about it. It's a fake, with a dummy driver, designed to slow down speeders.

The poor dummy has been the butt of practical jokes. I loved it.

Westport Marina was deserted, and very lovely in the sunshine.

Let's sail away.

Nobody was crabbing, so we didn't see any Harbor Seals trying to eat the bait. Probably the pelicans were scared to fly after yesterday's gales because they weren't around either.
