The weather was changeable today, but a few more animals stuck their heads
out to say Hello. A large part of the Savannah area was closed off and
I was unable to follow my usual routes. I had a couple of nice surprises
anyway.

The Red Pandas were
curled up in their usual tree, sound asleep. Nothing I could do or say
would get them to open their eyes. Drat!
A couple of Red Ruffed
Lemurs foraged around in the grass beside their favorite trees. One came
out in the open long enough for me to take a pic.
A Gorilla paid no
attention to the activities around him and gnawed away placidly on a large
twig.
Another Gorilla spent
ages examining his hands as if to say "Hmmm, I think it's time for
a manicure."
As usual, the Zebras
ate in quiet harmony with the Gazelles. They seem to get along together
very well.
What a treat I ran
into near the Jimi Hendrix Rock! A Peacock was displaying its beautiful
tail.
The Peacock strutted
and posed for several minutes, much to the delight of the onlookers.
A Hippo looked as
if he was caught in mid-laugh. He swam and dived all over the pond.
Another Hippo seemed
to make a beeline for all of us who were admiring his triumph of agility
over size.
