I
didn't dare lift my eyes. One wrong move and I'd be sliding into
the river. |
|
Tim
contemplates the first railroad tunnel. We couldn't see the other
end.
And it was pitch black. |
|
Bravely
we entered and shuffled our way blindly through.
I have to say that I was a wee bit nervous in this curved, long
tunnel. |
|
The
next tunnel was shorter, but beyond it the path was completely blocked.
So we called it a day and headed back. |
|
Here's
the path - an old railroad bed.. |
|
Whee
- Tim makes his way back down a slide area.. |
|
You
had to watch where you were going. A trip might land you on spikes.
These were about six inches high, protruding from the wooden tie. |
|
The
green hill ahead of Tim has a 200 foot elevation gain.
We remarked that our rowing seemed to have made the climb a lot
easier. |
|
Here's
today's lunch spot - inside the car in the pouring rain. :)
And with that, we headed back to Seattle.
We had a good workout today - roughly a four mile round trip. |
