It really was like taking a step back into the past.

Most of the ride went through the towns but we were treated to a quick glimpse of the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley.

And here's a look at the top of Snoqualmie Falls. Across on the other bank can be seen the viewing area, where we stood at the beginning of our day to photograph the Falls.

As we left North Bend, we spied this sign, which brought back memories of one of my all-time favorite TV shows.

Tim kindly took me for a little ride up into the mountains. I've missed them so much.

We went all the way past the top of Snoqualmie Pass because I wanted to see Lake Keechelus. It did not disappoint me. :)

It's hard to believe that a few nights ago, there was a snowstorm on this road.

As we headed west, back to Seattle, I found the scenery breathtaking.

We even went through an avalanche tunnel (not needed today, thank goodness!).

Ahhhh, there's the mountains I've been missing.
It was a lovely day.
