A Visit With Mother
Mount Rainier, WA

An Arctic(?) Fritillary perches on a flower beside the road.

In a small cave beside the road I found a tiny White Banded Black Moth.

My goodness, what was this peculiar-looking flower? It was new to me.

Oh wait! It will grow into Bear Grass, something I've seen before.

So far I haven't identified this. It may be an aster or a sunflower-type plant. It's tiny and lovely.

Butter-and-eggs?

At Box Canyon our journey came to an end.

We retraced our steps, back through the canyon and eventually out of the Park.

Whoaaaa! Someone is hoping for a blessing!

And here and there were reminders that Mother is sleeping now, but perhaps not forever.
