Here's a closeup of Baker's snowy peaks.

Here is a beautiful place to eat lunch, so we did. Mount Shuksan is reflected in the waters of Upper Baker Lake.

Nearby, the browns and greens of the forests provide a contrast for the brilliant white of Mount Baker.

  Along here, the trees were covered with frost, and the road was bordered with mounds of snow.

It was very slippery so we used 4-wheel drive on this part.

The snow added to our Christmas spirit, and we headed back to Seattle, feeling refreshed by our day in the Cascades.
