The Red-maned Wolf shows me she has perfected the 'Model Pose'.
'Too hot for me out here - I'm heading inside' she says.
There are some new birds in the Savannah Aviary, like this White-headed
Buffalo Weaver.
They are so quick that it's hard to catch them sitting still.
This one might be a Taveta Golden Weaver.
'It's never too hot for lunch!' thinks one of the Snow Leopards.
'I agree' says his mate. 'How about tossing some this way?'
I had a quick visit to the beautiful new
Molbak's
Butterfly Garden.
A Julia butterfly welcomed me.
Here's a pretty White Peacock butterfly.
A bright Monarch butterfly glows in the greenery.
The exhibit was filled with butterfly-friendly plants and flowers.
A Black Swallowtail contrasted with the pastel flowers.
Many Monarchs clung to the wall.
What a nice ending to my visit.
