Back down the hill we walk for a little way.  The meadows are looking very green


Behind us, the snow bed reminds me of the ocean waves.


Here's me for scale by another snow pile.


An immature yellow-rumped warbler lets me take his picture.


The soft looking vegetation contrasts with the hard-looking mountain tops.


On the road a brand new Black Swallowtail dries his wings in the sunshine.

There were lots of waterfalls, ranging from fast and loud...


...to small and dainty.


Tim spotted a bed of Crimson Columbines trying to get ready to bloom.

Goodbye, North Fork of the Cascade River.  See you again.
And back down the one-lane road we bounced.
What a nice day it was.
