OCTOBER 18th, 2013
Tim had a day off on Friday so we decided to drive to the ocean. It's been a while since we visited. We set off on a very foggy morning. The visibility from the ferry was about 30 feet - it felt very eerie moving quietly through the fog.

Here we are at the gas station in Poulsbo. The fog was a great backdrop for the colorful leaves.

I thought the roadsides were quite lovely.

We both like taking the road less travelled. This sure beats the I-5!!

The Westport Wildcat greeted us upon our arrival. So did blue skies and sunshine.

As it was well after noon, our first stop was Bennet's Fish Shack for lunch. I wanted crab cakes and Tim had halibut and chips. We shared. Yum!

I watched a man loading freshly caught fish into ice tubs on his truck.

I'm pretty sure these fish are Albacore Tuna.

Now and then a Brown Pelican drifted past.

There are boats of all shapes and sizes in the Marina.

After lunch we headed for the dock. But first - a view across Grays Harbor. That's Ocean Shores and a fog bank on the other side.

Fishermen and crabbers use the dock frequently.
