Yes, it's an instant replay of last week's trip when we tried to reach Artist Point at Heather Meadows. No luck - the road was still closed. It doesn't usually open until August or so, when all the snows have melted. Whaddya know - it opened during the week, and as Monday, July 5th promised to be a spectacular day in the mountains, we took ourselves back to one of our favorite places in Washington State (so far). Later, we meandered up Glacier Creek Road to Mount Baker Vista which affords a marvellous view of the western slopes of this magnificent mountain. Here are a few pictures.
