As I walked along the floating dock, I was quite startled to see a seal lurch out of the water, looking for crabber's bait. They often use chickens, which make a good meal for the seals.

Yikes this mossy pier was slippery! I nearly fell several times.

Tim loved the observation deck near the docks.

Later in the afternoon we saw this astonishing sight - hundreds of shorebirds wheeling and diving in sync.

Eventually they all landed on a nearby dock. I think they were mostly Marbled Godwits with a Willet or two.

Within seconds they tucked their heads under their wings and went to sleep.

A stately llama watched us drive past.

The bay was surprisingly calm in this area.

After dinner we caught a sunset on the way home.

Time to head back to the Mothership aka the Chateau.

Now it is our last morning here so of course we headed to the shore for a last look.
