We were able to find a great place to see Mount Hood up close, at White River.

Sunday was to be a low-key day with as little driving as possible so we revisited the beautiful waterfalls along the Historic Columbia River Highway. We stopped first at Vista House in Crown Point and climbed to the top for a look at the Gorge.

There had been thick mist up to now, but as we stood there on the balcony, the mist began to dissipate and the clouds began to lift.

Tim loves waterfalls, so he was in his element today. He took all the waterfall pictures shown below as he's so much better at it than I am.

Latourell Falls.

Bridal Veil Falls was one we missed last time, as it was pouring with rain and there is a hike down the hillside to view it. Today it was lovely.

Next up was Multnomah Falls, with a bridge over the second cataract. It was easily the most popular destination today, as there is a gift shop and a restaurant at this location.

Well look who's up on top of that little bridge! I hiked up there with Tim, but I just could not make myself put one foot on that flimsy-looking little bridge *wink*.

And finally, Horsetail Falls.

So that's it for another year. Off we went to meet friends for a late lunch. I forgot to take pictures of that. We'll have to do it again, so I can remedy this.

Once again, it was a great trip, exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest..
