Clouds creep up the flanks of this mountain.

Just standing here near high peaks and a glacier makes me feel very small.

The colors are a bit early this year and a bit pale, perhaps from Summer's lack of rain.

Tim wants to keep going and look for another waterfall.

What am I taking a picture of?

It's two tiny mushrooms growing here, found by Tim.

This is my favorite picture of the day.  It wasn't in view for very long.

I never tire of seeing the greens change to reds and oranges.

Tim finds his waterfall.  'Can you see him now?'

It's not as easy slogging back uphill but we make it.  The glacier watches over me.

Lunchtime!  We are happy to take a break .

We head home down the mountain and 23 more miles of bounce-bounce-bounce.

Sauk Mountain pops out to greet us as we drive through Concrete.
What a pretty day it turned out to be.
